Almendra, a Beautiful Psionic Wasteland
Welcome to Almendra! A piece of the world just brimming with excitement, danger, and mysterious power!
Our little slice of Heaven:
Almendra is a simple chunk of the world in which our campaign will take place. The area is about 65 miles wide and about 35 miles in height, so it is very small. The game should not venture out of this region, except maybe into the underdark or into other psionic planes. This is because of the surrounding geography of this little area. To the west is the Elm’ran Sea, blocking most passage, except those adventurous few who wish to ride the waves by means of boat. To the east is the Ightl Marshland, where no intelligent creature that has entered has ever returned. To the north, the Thak Desert that stretches for months, seeming without end. To the south there seems to be a better chance in crossing the Isandi Mountains, but the pass is trecherous and the leering demons that are spit forth from Emesskeldenild are vile and spare noone. So instead we will focus on the area between, a mostly lushous landscape with multiple forests, with a nice variety of races that live together. But not really in harmony. Racism, barbarism, and chaos runs rampant in many of the towns. For the people of Almendra, life is rough and rugged, and only the strong survive.
